A celebration of the beauty and power of crochet - specifically, the life-changing benefits this fibre art has brought to one extraordinary boy, 11-year-old crochet prodigy, Jonah Larson.
Jonah Larson first discovered crochet at the age of five and now a worldwide community follows his every stitch. He has an ever-growing number of online friends including over 190,000 followers on Instagram. He has been featured in numerous craft publications and the Sunday Times.
Since 'going viral' early this year, Jonah has been credited for setting the crochet community on fire, and he now has a huge social media following. The continued national and international media attention, includes an appearance on the Today Show, a spot in Oprah Magazine, feature stories in major crochet magazines in the US and UK, and interviews on television stations in Australia and Germany. This has allowed Jonah to expand his business and 'give back' in an even bigger way. To date, he has raised close to $20,000 through Go Fund Me for an organisation doing charitable work in Ethiopia where he was born.
In his first book Hello, Crochet Friends! Jonah shares his life story including details of his adoption, struggles at school and the role crochet has played in his life.
