Customer Review

This book is mostly aimed at those with a sewing machine but there are a couple for hand sewing, such as those on the front cover and a wrist pin cushion.

All the projects have extremely helpful pictures and well written, detailed instructions. It also comes with a very helpful and practical template sheet tucked into the back flap.

It is a very well written book with detailed instructions. A thoroughly enjoyable book, I loved it!

I absolutely love this book. The instructions are simple, easy, and clear. The variety of projects in the book is great too.

I'm now waiting for my delivery of fat quarters so I can get started!

Customer Review

This book contains projects for the kitchen, garden and craft room which can be made using only two fat quarters each. The items are beautifully showcased with easy to follow instructions, hints and tips, and all the information needed to complete each project. Full sized templates are included in the back of the book. Ideally suited to beginners, though more experienced crafters will still enjoy this book.

I received my copy of Take Two Fat Quarters: Home this week, and it's met all my expectations and then some!

Each design has colourful pictures and simple, easy to follow, step-by-step instructions. It also features a lot of techniques and different bits of helpful advice, making it an excellent book for beginners as well as those with more advanced skills.

I love that each item requires minimal materials aside from fat quarters (which I sometimes struggle to use up due to lack of ideas - not any more!) They are all relatively quick and easy to make by the looks of the guides, but are all stylish and useful for anywhere around the home.

Can't wait to sit and try some of these designs out!

As always with Wendy Gardiner books you get a lot of inspiration with the projects she chooses to give us. Take Two Fat Quarters: Home has 16 gorgeous projects for the home which would also make excellent gifts for friends and family. The Spa Slippers are amazing, as is the Flower Power Pillow, and each project is beautifully presented with full instructions and handy hints and tips to get the best results from your sewing.

Each page has full colour photographs with step-by-step instructions and techniques. There is a pattern sheet included and an abundance of helpful information, from tools to adding bias binding. These books are fabulous for a beginner, but of course the advanced sewer can adapt each project to personalise them for their specific requirements.

Amazon

Fabulous book, that gives clear explanations of sewing techniques and stitches, to help the beginner at sewing. I have learnt a lot from just reading the step-by-step guide, and looking at the beautiful photographs. The book contains 16 projects, which are well explained, with clear instructions. The book has a pocket inside the back cover, where there are lots of patterns, making this a wonderfully useful, and delightful book. It comes highly recommended!
