If you sew you will invariably end up with lots of small pieces of fabric, some of which are quite large but seldom more than half a yard. Here is a whole book of projects for those leftovers so at last you can start to whittle down that teetering pile
I like the way you dont need much to make the items in this book, and if you sew you will already have everything you need a great start! The book is organized into rooms, and although the bathroom gets missed out the final room is outdoors in the shape of picnic time. The Contents page is illustrated with small pictures showing each project, a touch that makes it easy to choose exactly what you want to make. Decorate a tablecloth with yo yos, make cushions, mats, decorations, bunting, napkins and rings, boxes and baskets. If you have never done any sewing before this is not the best place to learn but you dont need much know-how to make these mostly simple pieces, nor do you need a lot of time as most are fairly small. Each project has staged instructions with both captions and photographs, as well as a list of what you need and a larger photo of the finished item. The author has mostly used pretty delicate pastels which give a cheerful summery appearance but which would be suitable for all year round. Many projects would make great gifts, if you could bear to part with them! A lovely and inspiring book to make your stash go further.
