Stephanie van der Linden is a knitwear designer based in Friedberg, Germany. Her designs have appeared on Socken-Kreativ-Liste (a German Yahoo group) and in Twist Collective and Anna Crafts magazines. She is the author of six knitting books in German; this is the second book of her designs to be published in English.

Subtitled '20 gorgeous designs for every occasion', this book is just what it says. I would be happy to wear any of these. I am not sure they are all romantic, but they are wearable and lovely. Some of them are everyday such as Margaret, some are more dressy for a special occasion or evening like Susanna. The individual designs are great - there has been a lot of thought gone into this book. There are shawls for wearing with jeans or a beautiful dress, ones to wrap around your shoulders for walks or to dress up for a special evening. There are triangular shawls, wavy ones, scarf types or pull ons. These are elegant accessories for any outfit. Each pattern is graded for difficulty. There is a pattern sheet in the back of the book. You work from this to make the patterns but read the notes on the design first. All the designs are knitted on circular or double pointed needles even the straight scarf-type designs
